Transforming the Farm at Vermont State University into a Sustainable Model for AMP Grazing:

In 2024, NGBI received a grant from Northeast Sustainable Agriculture & Education to carry out this work. The graphics below show just what can happen in a single year of regenerative grazing.

Regenerative Grazing & Livestock Systems Certificate

We’re thrilled to partner with the Center for Agriculture and Food Entrepreneurship (CAFE) at Vermont State University (VTSU) to launch a new program: the Regenerative Grazing & Livestock Systems Certificate, beginning Spring 2027 at VTSU–Randolph.

This 24-credit, two-semester hybrid program will prepare the next generation of land stewards to lead the way in regenerative agriculture. Students will gain hands-on experience with adaptive multi-paddock grazing, learning essential skills in soil health, pasture management, water and fencing systems, livestock genetics, and sustainable business operations.

Creating a Sustainable Beef Supply Chain for Campus Dining

In the fall of 2025, NGBI was awarded a 2025 New England Food Vision Prize from the Henry P. Kendall Foundation.

These necessary funds will support the development of a sustainable supply chain for local grass-fed beef to the Vermont State University campus dining facilities.
